Sometimes, you are required to digitally sign a form even if you don't have a CAC. The most common situation in our organization is for signing the FFR Access Request form. To accomplish the digital signature follow the below instructions.
- Click the digital signature box to start the digital signature process.
- When the option below comes up, select “Configure New Digital ID”

Select “Create a new Digital ID” and click Continue

Select option to “Save to Windows Certificate Store” and Continue
- Enter First and Last Name, Organizational Unit, Organization Name, and Email Address, and Save
- Verify that the name is correct, then click “Sign” and save the form when prompted

After saving, your created digital signature should be present in the form.
Please note that this process creates a digital certificate that remains on the computer for anyone to use. To ensure that no one else can sign as you with this digital signature, please see Clearing Old Certificates to delete the certificate.
