With FlankSpeed, you receive 1 TB (1000 GB) of OneDrive cloud storage for files that is separate from the 99 GB of storage in Outlook for emails and calendars. The best way to take advantage of this storage space is to backup all your files from your computer so that you always have your available - whether that's on a different work computer, online through the portal, or using NVD. All you have to do is the following:
- Click the blue OneDrive cloud icon in the system tray. (This is in the lower-right of the computer screen by the time and date; note that you may have to click the "^" to see more icons.)
- Click the gear icon in the upper-right of the window that appears. (Note, sign in if you need to.)
- Click "Sync and backup" in the sidebar menu and then click "Manage backup."
- Allow the program to scan your computer and then toggle everything on.
From now on everything you save in you Documents folder, the Desktop, and the Pictures folder will be backed up to OneDrive. That means that you can open these files online through the portal, on NVD, and even on different work computers as long as you turn on backup there too.
If this is your first time turning on backup and you have a lot of files, please allow the program some time to upload everything. You can monitor upload status by clicking the OneDrive cloud icon in the system tray like you did in Step 1 of this guide.
