In order to send emails with a digital signature or encryption, you must have associated your CAC certificates to Outlook and published them to the Global Address List (GAL). You'll need to do this if you just obtained a ONE-Net account or if you have just obtained a new CAC. But before doing so, please check Clearing Old Cached Certificates to remove certificates you don't need anymore to avoid confusion.
- Open Outlook and go to "File" > "Options"
- Go to "Trust Center" > "Trust Center Settings"
- Choose "E-mail Security" > "Settings"
- Ensure your certificates are recognized; a certificate should be listed in both the Signing and Encryption boxes. "Chose OK"
- Click "Publish to GAL" to publish.
Now you will be able to send digitally signed emails and people will be able to send you encrypted emails. If you need assitance, please submit a request.
