FlankSpeed allows you to create a password to log in as long as you are okay with using Microsoft Authenticator to complete MultiFactor Authentication (MFA) on your mobile device. This is allowed for those times when you are unable to use your CAC to log in. Note that it doesn't substitute using your CAC to log into CAC-enabled websites like TWMS, nor does it substitute using your CAC for opening and sending encrypted emails.
Set a Password
To set up or change your password for FlankSpeed:
- Go to the DoD Enterprise ICAM from ONE-Net or other DISA network connected workstation
- Click "Login" in the upper right of the window. DO NOT click "Reset Password"
- Login to FlankSpeed using your CAC
- In the left side menu, go to "My Self-Service" > "Password Service" > "Set My Password"

Allow about 30-60 minutes before attempting to use your new password to log into FlankSpeed. This password will expire every 30 days. At that point, you will need to set the password again. But don't worry! You will receive an email reminding you when your password is about to expire.
